New, more extensive search of the 1860 US Census Index!

MyTrees.com is pleased to announce the partnering with Footnote.com to make available to you, our patrons, the 1860 US Census Index. This index contains over 25 million names and is a free search. To search this index, click the "Census Records " link under Specialized Searches on our homepage. Our results connect to images of these records at , a website dedicated to providing you with original documents of historical and genealogical importance. Footnote.com charges a small fee to view the images.

Cut your search time in half by using our new search engine at MyTrees.com. This new extensive search engine will more easily help you to find your family in the 1860 US Census, even if the family you are seeking has a common name like Smith. This census search at makes it possible for you to expand your search to include parents, siblings, or children of the family. The results also show all family members with their ages, helping you to quickly find the family you are seeking.
