We at MyTrees.com have improved the security of your data in numerous ways.
When a GEDCOM is uploaded to MyTrees.com there are 4 backups made of the file.
Four backups are made when family history data is entered into our MyTrees Online genealogy program. Each of these backups is different and represents a unique level of security. The 4 backups are 2 onsite local backups, an offsite backup, and a bank vault backup.
You as a user can also make a backup whenever you add data to your file or before you do a merge of additional data by clicking the "BACKUP" button provided in the MyTrees Online side menu.
As more and more computer users face the risk of data loss from defective or obsolete storage media, viruses, file corruption, and accidents, uploading your data to MyTrees.com assures that data is safe and recoverable.
Another security measure MyTrees.com has implemented is the installation of the strong encryption SSL-3.0 for all registrations, credit card, and other secure transactions.
We at MyTrees.com seek to provide a most reliable and secure internet environment for our users. If you have questions or concerns about your data please call or email us. Your feedback is welcome and we usually respond within a day or two.
Thanks for using MyTrees.com!
Sincerely,
Cindy Carman, CFO
