I received your email this last week and agree with those who say your site is superior
to others offering similar services. Over a period of 30 years, we had
searched the records in three states trying to find the parents of my
husband's Ayers grandfather (b. 1845 in SC). We always hit a dead end
at 1845. But using your site, I not only connected his family to their
immigrant forebearers, but made the connections for all the Ayers families
in SC, GA, and Alabama. The names and dates in your files matched the
information taken from tombstones, court records, etc. I would never
have thought to look in New Jersey for this family. They were such dyed
in the wool Southerners that just about every male over 16 signed up to
fight for the South the day after Ft. Sumter was fired upon. I never
dreamed they could be Yankees.
Not only do I thank you, but every Ayers researcher in the South thanks
you. (I posted your website and some of your information on the Ayers
website, and receive a thank you email almost every day.)
Thanks again. Marilyn Ayers
