Issue 19-2-2001
The highlight of the first quarter of 2001 was announced on February the 10th.
The MyTrees.com Affiliate program was restructured to pay
Affiliates a commission for patrons who renew their paid subscriptions. Here is
how the program works.
When a new patron signs up at MyTrees.com with a paid subscription, the
Affiliate site which sent the patron to the MyTrees.com website
through their Affiliate link will receive a finder's fee for the paid signup
and will continue to get commissions for as long as that new patron remains
active with a paid subscription. Thus, we not only pay for the original paid
signup, but also for renewals, until the first time the patron's account goes
inactive (i.e. does not pay a renewal subscription). Please note that if a patron
goes inactive for 48 hours or more and subsequently reactivates his account,
commissions will not be paid on this type of reactivation. In addition MyTrees.com adds the renewals to the count to determine an Affiliate's Volume
for the quarter. For instance if an Affiliate's banner link generated 80 new signups
in a quarter and there were also 30 renewals for that quarter then the counted
volume would be 110 which would cause the compensation percentage to go to the
next higher level.
We believe this compensation plan to be the best available in the genealogy
arena. To get further details or to signup for the Affiliate Program click here.
