My great-great grandfather, William Frederick WATERHOLTER turned up for the first time in Washington, D.C. in 1850. According to the U.S. Census, he was born in Germany but it does not say where. He was 14 years old in the 1850 Census and was l
iving in a boarding house with his 12-year-old brother. Their parents were NOT listed on the Census so it is possible they may have died while enroute to this country. If anyone is researching the WATERHOLTER name, please contact me at Bones@
