Research Interest: Hugh Ward of County Meath, Ireland, married Catherine O'Donnell of County Mayo, Ireland. When they came to the U.S. around 1847, their three sons accompanied them. John Henry was 7 years old. They first settled in the East and finally made their way t o Braidwood, Illinois where they had a Coal Yard. The moved to Joleit, Illinois where they ran the Hugh Ward Coal Company. Thank you if you can find out where in Coutny Meath they came from and if he had any brothers or sisters.
