Research Interest: Beulah Valentine gave birth to a baby daughter on 5 May 1914, who was later adopted by Warden Pope and Ruthella Dougherty, of Greensboro, North Carolina, on 26 September 1918. However, it seems she kept in touch with this baby daughter, Lura Kathleene as late as 1942. The last place of residence we have for Beulah is 1414 Dale Avenue SE Roanoke, Virginia. The only letter from Beulah with a return address states- Mrs. Morg A. Edwards, P.O. Box 1425, Roanoke, Virginia, post marked 15 July 1939. I am wonde ring if anyone has any knowledge of Beulah. Lura is my grandmother, is still living, and would very much like to know more about her birth family. If you can lend any information to my project, PLEASE contact me.
