John Richard TAYLOR was my ggfather, born probably in Virginia, 14 January 1847. In 1870 he lived in Stewart County, Tennessee where he worked for Cumberland Iron Works.
He married Caldonia MAYFIELD there in 1872 and they traveled to Indian Territory (later Oklahoma)where he served as a marshall.
