Research Interest: Richard C Tankersley left the East Texas area around 1885, he was not heard from again. We would like to know where he is buried and if he had another family after leaving East Texas. He was sheriff in Van Zandt County for several years. His father's nam e was William and his mother's name was Elizabeth. He was born in Morgan Co., Georgia 1831. It was believed that he moved to southwest Texas.
