Research Interest: Looking for My Husbands Grandpas Father who gave two children to orphanages in New York when his wife died in childbirth. We know that they sapped Maple Trees to make maple syrup and maple sugar. His son was born in Mombaccus,Ulster County, New York in 1 908. We are not sure if they actually lived in NY or were just passing through when Great Grandpa was born. But his name was Marcus Quick the Father and we do not know what the mothers name was. The years are a guess it would make him 30 yrs old when g randpa was born but he may have been younger and the last year is an estimation of maybe he lived to be 72 years old. Grandpa had an older sister. Both children were Orphan Train Riders and adopted.
