This is my grandfather. The family bible shows he was named James Pascal McDonald, b 9 Oct 1843. He had two sisters, Nancy McDonald, b 29 Mar 1839, and Mary Elenor McDonald, b 28 Dec 1842. Legend has it that their parents, McDonald's, died in
an epidemic sometime between 1843 and 1850. The children were adopted by an Asa Patten. Trying to find the birth parents. Any suggestions invited.
