James Parker was born in Georgia in abt. 1812. He married Mary Hammock in Pike Co., GA in 1834 and settled by 1850 in Carroll Co., GA. In 1830 a male of his age 15 20 is residing in the home of Enoch Parker 60 70 in Carroll Co., GA. Enoch Parker,
who married Elizabeth Perisho in Lincoln Co., NC in 1807 is believed to be either the father or grandfather of my James Parker who was born in GA in 1812. Another source places my James with the John Parker/Sarah Gordy line of Hancock Co., GA and Pike C
o., GA, but I find no proof of this.
