I have been able to trace my Palmer line to a Lucien Palmer born 1817 probably in KY. His father is rumored to be a Richard Palmer who died in the 1840. Family legend says this line is descended from the Thomas palmer who came over to Va in 1621 on the
Tiger. Legend also says that my line is related to John McAuley Palmer who was a US senator, IL governor, and Civil War General. If anyone has any advice or wants information on these families, please let me know.
