Tracing my fraternal grandmother's side, John Alfred Padon b. 8/2/1856 Padonia Kansas d. 1921 in La Grand Oregon. Trying to find his parents, the family lore is that they came from Texas. I did find a Jesse Padon in an article on the pioneers of Kansas a
nd it said that Padonia was named after Jesse Padon, could this be the link.
