Research Interest: Born abt 1741 at Swollow St Scotch Church, Lancashire, England. Married Mary Deans in 1766 at same parish. Their son William married Sarah Barber abt 1789 in same parish. These nairns finally in later generations were first settlers in the WA, Australia. There is a Scottish connection with Alexander. I have been told it was his father who fought in the battle of Culloden, which took place a few years before Alexander was born.
