Research Interest: My interest has turned to finding John Lawrence's parents. Some proposed that Samuel Lawrence 1710 was the father but my DNA Y chromosome research has indicated that John is NOT the Birth child of Samuel. Others have proposed a Jonathan Lawrence, who apparently married first, an Elizabeth Buttrick from Canada, and later married Hannah Robbins of Walpole, Ma. If so, claims ar made that he had four chidren by Elizabeth- Experience, Samuel, Jacob, and Josiah. Children by his second wife included Abiga il, William, Joonathan, Mary, Nsthsniel, and John. Mary Lawrence, born in 1741 supposedly married Samuel Safford. It is posssiblre records weree changed at some point in time because of the interest of this family in the Lawrence-Townley Estate issue.
