Research Interest: My grandfather, Joseph Frank, who was always called Dick - I don't know why - was born in Vergennes, Vermont. At some point in his life he was a lumberman, a bartender, worked for some time at the Eagle Hotel he may have been a cook in Concord, NH and a various other jobs in New Hampshire and New England area. He married Myrtle Mae Hodgman, Concord, NH and lived in Concord, NH until his death in 1964. I know he had siblings but don't know a thing about the rest of the LaValley family. His herit age, I'm told, was French-Indian from Canada. Dick Myrtie had 5 children Harold called Toudie , Rosalind, Permelia called Meadie, Bessie, and Philip. Grandpa or Dad had cousins named Francis and Theresa LaValley from Massachusetts who came to visit our NH farm in the 1950's. Thanks for any help you can give me.
