Research Interest: My Grandfather, Amos Lamoureaux, was born in Richford, Vt. in 1874. He married my grandmother Mary Louise Lamora Lamoureaux in Warren, Rhode Island and the marriage was also blessed in Taunton, Massachusetts. Mary Louise was also born in Richford Ver mont. His father Amos was born in Quebec, Canada. Im having problems because as you can see, both families had surnames of variants of Lamora,Lamory,Lamoree or Lamoreaux. My grandfather had brothers Herbert, Lewis and Charles and Arthur and a sister Melvina. My grandmother had three sisters, Celina, Salome and Jennie. Please e-mail me if you can offer any info. One listing shows Amos as being born in Ireland but all subsequent info lists Vermont for he and his brothers. My great, great grand father was also born in Canada as was his father but I don't have his name - could be Lewis or Charles. Any info you may have would be appreciated. Thanks. Madeline Ernest
