From what I know, Nathaniel I came to the US Rowan, NC alone, leaving his wife and children behind in Ireland. Nathaniel himself was born in Northern Ireland or Scotland in 1730. Two hours before he died, he left a verbal will asking that his wife
and children come over to the NC -- which they did. One of his sons was named Nathaniel II, born in 1755. Thanks
