Research Interest: Henry Jackson was born c. 1851-1856 somewhere in ENGLAND, son of John Jackson and Jane ______. He immigrated to the US between 1865-1875 and finally settled in the copper mining town of Ely, VT. There he married Margaret McCarty in 1882, daughter of John McCarty and either Mary Welch or Ellen O'Neal. Henry, and later, his children wrote to several of his sisters who remained in England. Correspondance from the sisters ceased with WWII. Nothing is known of what happened to the "English Aunts." Unfortunately, none of the letters have survived so we have no idea where in England our ancestors are from. Everything on this side of the water just say "England." Any help would be appreciated.
