Research Interest: Alexander Hay was born in Glasgow in 1818. His father was Peter Hay and his mother was Agnes Ann Robertson Stewart. They moved to Aberdeen about 1827. Siblings are James Hay born 20 April 1827 in Aberdeen, a brother born 11 April 1832, Helen Anderson Hay b 1833, a brother born 21 January 1834, and Andrew Grant Hay born Sept 20 1836. I'm trying to find Alexander, who is my fourth grandfather. His father was a cotton mill worker, Alexander became a cotton mill overseer. He had got his cousin Margaret Stewart pregnant but never married her. It was about 1841 when the child was born, my third grandfather, James Hay. Alexander disappeared about 1847 to 1855. If he died, I can't find a death certificate. He might have emigrated to Australia - I don't kn ow. Margaret Stewart married Alexander Milne, a fisher man from Petrehead in 4 July 1853 in Peterhead Aberdeenshire. Please help me find Alexander Hay. Thanks, Charles Hay
