Research Interest: I am trying to trace the Hastings that lived in Lincolnshire. I have run into a dead end. My g., g., g., g.grandfather, was born in Lincolnshire. He died and left his son and daughter orphaned. They went to live with their uncle in Norwich, Ontario, Cana da. His uncle was a Thomas Hastings who married an Eleanor Scott. Her sister was married to the Duke of Gloucester. Her father's cousin was Sir Walter Scott. May be this might narrow the search for the Hastings down. Please e-mail me at hoeldke@beeline.c a
