Research Interest: Charter Harper supposedly a son of Castleton Harper of Albemarle Co. Virginia. Charter Harper married Nancy Kidd, d/o Webb Elizabeth White Kidd. Webb Kidd's will in Elbert Co. Georgia 1805. James Washington Harper, Henry White Harper, Thomas Martin Ha rper, and Wm. Webb Harper are the supposed sons of Charter Harper. They settled next in Shelby Co. Alabama in the early 1800s. James Washington Harper m Rebecca Morgan. Henry White Harper m Juliana Peirce. Thomas M Harper m Nancy A. Jennings. Wm. Webb Harper m Lucy Allen, d/o Rev. Nathaniel Allen. Other sisters married Kidds. Many went to Claiborne Parish, Louisiana in wagon train of 1849. Seek descendants with whom to correspond and exchange info. James Washington Harper died 1840 Alabama Rebecc a homesteaded in Louisiana. Need her Morgan forebears. Have much Harper Kidd material. Will exchange.
