Research Interest: Joseph Hubert HARDY was a Methodist Minister in the North Georgia Conference. At the Session of the North Georgia Conference held Nov. 7-14, 1917, he was appointed by Bishop Warren A. Chandler to the Cave Springs Circuit in Floyd County, Georiga. How man y churches were in this circuit What were the names of the churches Do they still exist Where were/are they located Prior to his appointment at Cave Springs, he writes from the Methodist parsonage at Everette Springs, Floyd County, Georgia. Some of h is sermons are signed in Thomaston, Georgia. Are there any records, perhaps from the North Georgia Conference, that would have the names of the circuits, including all churches on the circuits,and the dates served Where else might he have served Any n ewspaper articles that may have appeared about, or by him Joseph Hubery Hardy - b. Nov. 14, 1891 in Georgia, d. April 14, 1921 in Georgia - On Dec. 24, 1911, he married Laura Ophelia WILKS, b. Aug. 4, 1885 in Georgia, d. Jan. 1972 in Hickory, North Carolina. Both Joseph and Laura are buried in Bethany Churchyard Cemetery near Jefferson, Georgia. Their children are Clifton Steed HARDY -b. Oct. 11, 1912, d. May 6, 1913 in Georgia. Nell Lucille HARDY - b. Nov. 30, 1914 in Georgia, m. James Franklin Campbell, d. Feb. 19, 1981 in Hickory, North Carolina. Sarah Ellen HARDY - b. Nov. 19, 1916, d. May 25, 1918 in Georgia. Joseph Hubert Hardy, Jr. - b. in Georgia., m. Rose Mary Huffman Gilbert Nunn Nick HARDY - b. May 9, 1921 in Ga., d. May 22, 1975 i n Tampa, Florida.
