Research Interest: Carpenter Harding was my great-grandfather. He married my great-grandmother in 187l. This marriage was in Tennessee. They lived in Tennessee until his death in l87l. I am interested in finding information about him before he came to Tennessee. I know he lived in Ohio and had a family there. He and his wife divorced. I do not know the dates. He was a Union soldier in the Civil War. He was in the 22nd. reg. of Indiana. He signed up in July of 1861, and at one point defected and signed up with the 13th reg. of Indiana. I believe he was on the Roll Of Honor. Any help would be appreciated
