Research Interest: I do some research on some HANDIBOES now mostly in the DC/Maryland/Virginia/North Carolina areas. The original HANDIBOE'S were James and Mary WALSH HANDIBOE who from Offlay Co., Ireland formerly KING'S CO., Ireland. James was b. 1806 in Ireland and Jame s' wife Mary WALSH was also b. Ireland. They arrived in Ohio- US via Canada in 1832. They were pre potato famine Irish. My husband's now deceased father was John Dewitt HANDIBOE b. DC 1908 deceased in Prince George's Co., Maryland 1971.
