Opal is my paternal grandmother. She was born in 1917 in Hopkins, Missouri to Curtis E. Hall and Etta Rosetta L.White. She married my grandfather, Richard Aden Dalton, around 1933 and had my father, Richard Lee Dalton, October 7, 1934. She had a sister
, Ruby, born in 1920 to the same parents and is listed with her mom and sister in Berrien County, Michigan with her step-father Clarence Darby and step-brother, Clarence Jr. on the 1930 census. Etta and the 2 girls left shortly after that census and I do
n't know what happened to them until Opal gets married. I do know that Ruby married a man named Opal, but that is the extent of my knowledge.
