Research Interest: Gartz, Frederick FREDRICK Albertina nee Ness came to the US in either 1871 or 1881 have two dates from different documents . Have been unable to locate them as of yet on microfilm at the Family Research Center nor in the volumes of Germans to Am erica. Do know that they came through New York, settled in Rochester, and then moved on to Appleton, Wisconsin. In all they had 16 children, one of whom was my grandfather. Have located the names of just six other of the children and don't know how m any were male or female of the rest. Any help in locating information to their forebears or siblings would be very much appreciated. On their sons marriage certificate it is stated that Albertina's father was named John Ness. Thank you
