Research Interest: Charles Garcia was a dancer and actor. His father came to the US in 1898. Charles is Charlene's father and she has never seen photographs of him. He died in 1943, one week before her birth. He had two sisters, Asenath and Aquila, who cannot be traced and may have married names. His brother was Jerry Garcia and his mother was Ida Mae Garcia, originally from Jonesboro TN. Charlene wants very much to see a photograph of her father and to contact any remaining relatives in Ohio Cincinnati , Kentucky, or Ma ssachusetts. She has contact with her mother and his widow Doris Drowne Garcia Cain, but no other relatives. Any help would be greatly appreciated Shortly before his death he auditioned successfully for the film Cabin in the Sky or Stormy Weather black films of the 1930s and 1940s. She has been searching for information about Charles for decades. He also knew Cab Calloway,
