Research Interest: John's father I believe to be James Galliher b.abt 1745. John b. 1815 d. 1856 married Sarah Hoover b. 1815, d.1898. They had 4 children Mary Catherine, John Cowan, James Elias and Julius Alexander. John C. and James E. died in the Civil War. I need to k now if John's father is indeed James and what his mother's name is. I know that John's children were appointed a guardian in 1856 while their mother was still living. I believe that John's father was from Scotland, but have no proof. Thanks for your help . Sylvia
