George Eason was a Revolutionary War Soldier. Record is found in Barnwell Co., S.C. of a deed to Mr. Eason from the other heirs of George Eason dated Jan. 19, 1804 for 100 acres of land on Hurricane Branch, waters of Little Saltehatchie, where George Ea
son formerly lived. Deed Book Q, page 42 What I cannot find are relatives of George - parents, brothers/sisters, etc. I am not sure of all his children. Some of them are, William 1771-1831 Catherine b. 1766 Abraham b. 1782 Rebecca b. 1782
George Jr. Callington or Calleton District SC is also mentioned in various info, as is Perquimann County. I am not sure if these are re-namings of Barnwell Co. or if they are other locations of residences of George. I believe his years to be 1735-1774,
but have no exact birth/death dates. One source reports his wife to be Elizabeth Molton or Molten, but I am unsure of that info. His son, William Eason, was married to Sarah Mattox, daughter of Michael McKinzie Mattax also a Rev. War Soldier, and Elizabe
th Joyce daughter of James Joyce of Orangeburg District, S.C. Rev. War Soldier . William is my GGG Grandfather. It is very important to me to trace my roots back as far as possible, at least to my mother country. We have been tangled up with George
for at least 40 years.
