The first known chld was Elmira, born 1889.Turner's f ather was named John and he ran a ranch or plantation for Governor Brown or Browne this land was later owned by Arthur Godfrey .There is also supposed to be a cemetery in Leesburg where a lot of the Dodsons are buried. One of John's brothers are report ed to have changed his name to Dotson because of John marrying a Cherokee Indian. Turner had at least 4 wives. The last one was about 40 years younger than him. We believe that he died in about 1949 or 1950. Several family members seem to think he was 95 when he died. Please sarrudaend any info. Sincerely, Melodee
