Looking for the parents of W.T. Davis. He founded Southern Female College in Petersburg in 1862. School was incorporated by the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1863 by action of the House in Bill 37. He had a brother named John Hoomes Davis, a traveling M
ethodist minister. W.T. married Elizabeth Tayloe Corbin Beale would like to know date of marriage, his second and his brother, John, married Martha Felicia Beale and, after her death,married her sister, Anne Turberville Beale. Above info from family
papers on file in the Library of the Univ. of NC at Chapel Hill.
