Research Interest: Unable to prove entry into USA and have found no records for Hans previous to 1870 census. AKA John Born Kintorp, Sweden November 19, 1830 Died Brighton, Illinois November 27, 1881 St Louis, Missouri census 1870 Family Notes state that he immigr ated to US June 15, 1857 thru New York. Other notes state that he Traveled from Halsingborg to Molms Sweden to Ystad Sweden to Copenhagen, Denmark to Lund to Stockholm for his training as a carpenter and that he came from a family of 8 childre n including Hans . Naturalized St Louis, MO on December 27, 1873 Note on Naturalization Papers state The carpenter app. Han Jonson Dahlgren, who is residing in Copenhagen where he has lived for some time. Is born the 19th of September, 1830 in K INTORP and baptized there the same year. He has sufficient religious education, is confirmed and unites with a paper acceptance of Holy Communion, a reputain of moral living, is here free of marital obligations by the posting of bans, has been vaccinate d but does not belong to this congregation attested by YSTNDS, St. Marian the 13th of May, 1856.
