Research Interest: Who was Eli Cronk's parents? I believe they are Elizabeth Bingham and Joseph Cronk, but have found no documentation to prove it. Joseph Cronk was the son of Henry Heinrich Krank of Floyd Co. Va. and was b 1799 or 1800 in Culpepper Co., VA and married e lizabeth Bingham 7 Apr 1823. Eli was born 27 Apr 1825 in Stokes Co. NC. Joseph disappeared from the census and Elizabeth was head of household in 1830 in Stokes Co. NC and in 1840 in Highland Co. Ohio. Eli married Elizabeth J. Chance in Highland Co. O hio17 Aug 1856. They soon moved to Dallas Co. Iowa.
