My husband's family has always been told that Mary Crowfoot was of American Indian decent. As children they were given strict instructions to never to tell about her heiratage . Mary was born, Aug.15, 1846, Mich, or Ohio . Dod Dec. 26, 1928 Barry Co
. Michigan. Married 1st to Elisha W. Viers in 1864, Mich Married 2nd to George A. Shaffer in 1878 Ohio Parents Nancy dob 1816, N.H. dod 1895, MI., and Conah Crofoot dob 1808, VT. dod unknown. From what I have discovered in the census, Mary
tended to move back and forth between Southwest Michigan and North West Ohio. This was observed with both marriages. Any information on Mary M Crofoot,or her parents would be greatly apprecieated. Thank you in advance Debbie
