Research Interest: My name is Schuylar 'Sky' Wayne Crist. I was born March 27th, 1977 at Williams AFB Chandler , Arizona. I currently reside in San Antonio, Texas. My father, Major Wayne William Crist USAF Retired was born June 5, 1952 and my sister, from my father's second marriage is Jasmine Crist, born May 7, 1987. They currently reside in Bulverde, Texas. My father and his siblings all were raised in Lansing, Michigan. I have an Uncle Tim Crist, of Houston,Texas, and Uncle Robert 'Bob' Lee Crist married to Barb Crist maiden name I do not know of Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Uncle Bob is currently the family patriarch, born around 1942. Both men were born in the 1940s. Sandra Crist Farrell is my aunt also born in 1940s . I have another aunt named Carole M ae Crist Rainsberger also born in 1940s . Both aunts currently reside in the Lansing, Michigan area. My grandfather father of Wayne, Robert, Tim, Carole Mae and Sandra was Dwight T. Crist born 1917 and died December 17thish 1992 and was an only chi ld to my knowledge . He is the son of Thomas Jacob Crist. My grandmother was Thelma Cummins Crist Born 1922 and Died 1987 . I also had a great-great grandmother Swingle, who was born around 1902 and died about 1993 or 1995. She lived on a plantation i n Asheville, North Carolina for much, if not all, of her life. One of my relatives I believe great-great grandfather , Henry Crist, was a founding father of the state of Kentucky, who once owned about 1,500 acres along the Salt River and is buried as a statesman in Frankfurt, Kentucky. He was a signer of the Kentucky State Constitution I believe. He was familiar in the towns of Bardstown and Elizabethtown. Near as we can tell, our line came to America from southern Germany in 1738. There is a Jac ob Crist in our line that we think was born between 1808-1810 in Indiana. Some members of our family are believed to have escaped the Massacre at Pigeon Roost, Indiana in 1812. I believe our family roots can be tied also to Crists in the New Lexington ar ea, as well as Indianapolis. I believe a Sarah Crist is buried in New Lexington and is a relative. A Crist woman name I do not remember married into the Neel family about the time of the Civil War. I believe Samuel Neel was the name of the fellow she m arried. He was in the Confederate Army, part of a unit out of Gonzales, Texas. I also recall a Heinrich Crist in our family line as well. We also believe the original family Bible is in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are unsure of who preceded Jacob Cri st exactly. Maybe someone can fill that blank in
