Research Interest: Rhoda Crane from everything I've read in Venango County,PA.family histories was born in New Jersey along with her husband Thomas VanGiesen born in 1796.I am searching for parents of this individual. She and Thomas homesteaded in Venango County and had 1 2 children.Rhoda's grave lists her death in 1852.Letitia VanGiesen was one of the children that married into the McCalmont family. Thomas Rhoda left very young children,the boy all joined up during the civil was one of which was John VanGiesen who died in a prisoner camp.
