Research Interest: Elias lived in Gordon Co., GA, moving there probably around 1840 from Rutherford Co., NC. His father William lived in Rutherford Co., but I know practically nothing about him. Wm's father Josiah also lived there Wm Josiah died there in 1818 , but I' d like to know where they came from. Supposedly it was at the VA border, Danville, VA area, near the Dan River. Josiah's father was apparently Wm. or Thomas.
