Research Interest: I'm tracing my paternal grandfather's line. He was born Michael Charles Cosgrove in Barrie, Ontario, Canada in 1877. His father's name was Martin Cosgrove, his mother's maiden name Mary Anne McLennan. They were both born in Ontario. Martin's father was P atrick James Cosgrove born in Ireland, and his mother's maiden name was Bridget O'Brien (interestingly) born in Scotland. Both were problably born around the 1810's or 20's. I've been researching LDS microfilm, but they are missing the LDS microfiche ind ex to the Salt Lake City records of the 1871 Ontario Census in which Martin Cosgrove appears in Simcoe County, Ontario. If I could the main census material I could get more information on his parents. I recently found an 1880 Baptismal record for Arthur Birdie Cosgrove born in Flos, Ontario (a brother of my grandfather Michael).I would appreciate assistance with this research. My greatgrandfather M artin, and grandfather Michael lived in the Baraga (Village) area of by about 1889, and Martin Cosgrove died there in 1923. I hope someone can help me fill in birthdates, and places of birth, especially for the great great-grandparents born in Ireland and Scotland
