I am looking for the birthplace of, the parents of, and/or the siblings of William Cope, born in Scotland in 1719. He married Pheobe Ellsworth in either Green County, New York Colony, or in Scotland, or perhaps even in Wurtemburg, Germany, in about
1750. He is said to have left Scotland following the failed Jacobite Rebellion of 1746.
