Research Interest: William Connor/Conner was married to my grandmother and they had two children, my mother being one born 15 June 1920, New Madrid, Mo. My grandmother left him shortly after and remarried, my mother was given her step-father's name of Oliver and didn't know about her bith father until she was a teen ager. She said she had seen him once, he had remarried and had more children. My mother had been born under a fictitious last name due to him being a gambler and in debt to someone, as the story goes. I believe the last name was Jackson.
