Attempting to determine my great grandfather's parents. My grandfather's birth certificate lists his birthplace as Iowa and there are census and land records of Comerfords/Commerfords in Iowa in that time period. My grandfather, John D. Commerford was
rumored to have left home at a very young age and never would talk much about his family. He died at 40 years of age when my grandfather Richard Commerford was just 6 mos. old. Any information would be greatly appreciated Please contact me if y
