My grandfather was James Combs but his real father was surname Coldiron and possibly the Coldiron or his mother were native american. James was raised by Bud Rebecca Hanks Combs and took the Combs name. I am wondering if the James Coldiron age 10 s/o V
ina Blanton Jesse Coldiron in the 1880 Johnson County, KY census could possibly be my grandfather James Combs. In the late 1800's James Combs married Elizabeth Campbell Lizzie and they lived in Wolfe County, KY. Thought possibly Vina Blanton and Jess
e Coldiron were his parents. The age of James Coldiron living with his grandparents James Dicey Blanton would be about right. Help
