Research Interest: Looking for information on my Great Grandfather John William Cloud. Enlisted 7th Cavalry Troop G around June 4,1890. He served during the Battle of Wounded Knee but have no other informatin about that. He married my Great Grandmother Nancy Fidelia Noll March 3, 1892 at Junction City Kansas. According to and aunt and uncle my Great Grandfathers family before him came over on the boat with Hendrick Hudson and settled in somewhere around Ohio or Pensilvania. From what I was told the may have changed the spelling and droped the MAC off to form the name Cloud. Example: Name could have been (Macleod) changed it to CLOUD so as not to be diffrent.
