Research Interest: I'm looking for James E. Clift who married Mary Unkown in Tenn. James E. Clift was listed in a Census Book in 1850. He moved sometime around 1900 to Izard Co., Ark. There is where I find him on the 1900 Census listed with his wife and children. The children are Lea Clift, Mimmie P. Clift d. 8/1888; Joseph T. Clift b. 3/1890; Lillie B. Clift d. 1/1892; George Harrison Clift b. 11/1894 m. Ella (they lived in carthage, Mo. Jasper Co. most of they marriage life.); Hattie Maude Clift b. 2/1897 m. James Jones (lived most of they marriage life in West Plain, Mo. Howell Co.); Ida Willie Clift b. 6/2/1899 m. William Napoleon Hays firt marriage, married Jim Cole second ( She lived in Carthage, Mo. most of her life. She live in a Nursey Home until she died in 1985) Ida had 4 children they are Vernon E. Hays (he lived in West Plains, Mo. until 1967 he died in Springsfield, Mo., in 1975); Joseph Hays (lived in Arizona and died in Tex.); Melvin Hays (lived in Arizona and died in Russell, Kansa); Jerry Hays (lived in Carthage, Mo.)
