Research Interest: John Joseph Cleary was my g-grandfather, my grandfather John Henry Cleary told me some stories, but I'm not sure of their accuracy. John J. was born in New York, probably Mamaroneck, in Westchester County, approx. 1860. I believe his parents came over f rom Ireland, maybe County Tipperary. He married Anne Hayes whose mother's name was Margaret Flanagan also from Ireland, possibly during the famime in the 40's . John J. and Anne had 4 children, Gertrude Margaret b.12-15-1897,John Henry born 11-25-1898, Arthur Raymond born 2-14-1903 and Frank Francis born in 1905. This is basically the extent of my information other than the generations now living. any information that I could get would be extremely appreciated as I seem to have hit a dead end
