Research Interest: Trying to connect to Clearwater/Klaarwaters of New York State. Jacob had 22 children and was in the Rev. War. He went to TN (Greensboro) and was a Quacker and then to OH before his family came to IN until the early 1800's. After that they went everywhere. I would like to know is Jacob Clearwaters had a brother named Benjamin and a sister or was he from another family. Was he dutch like the Clearwaters in New York or was he Welch like some have said? When did he come to America or did his family come first? He had two wives first was Elizabeth (maybe Armstrong) and then Hannah Fisher in on Dec. 27, 1800. He was born around 1750 and he could have been the son of Silverter and Lettas Clearwaters and sister named Elizabeth. Some of Jacob's children were Reuben, David, Jacob, James A., Thomas F., John, Cephas, Riley, Anthony, Ann, Dorcas, Elizabeth, Casandra, Rachel, Ruth, Polly, Lettice, Alice, Hannah and maybe Nancy or Rebecca.
