Searching for descendants and or relatives of John Cinnamond, b. 1774, d. 1837 in Castlewellan, County Down, Ireland. He married Sarah McGinnis. The family lived and worked on the Annesley Estate. After the death of John and Sarah, the then Lady An
nesley saw to it that the younger Cinnamond/Cinnamon boys received education for a trade. Children Elizabeth, George, Jane, and Joseph Cinnamond remained in Ireland. Children William, James, and Robert immigrated to Canada, and the sir name was
changed to Cinnamon. Child John Cinnamon also went to Canada at some time after John Cinnamond s death. Would like to hear from any Cinnamons or Cinnamonds interested in their family name and history.
