Research Interest: William Chism, middle name may be Maddison, born in 1820's in KY probably. Father's name might be James L. Chism and mother's name may be Elizabeth Fletcher. Married Frances (Fitzpatrick) ? sometime before 1848. Lived in Clark County KY until 1872/1873 when he and his family moved to Richmond TX or somewhere in that area. His children were: James William Chism, Sarah E. Chism, Mary frances Chism (who married Charles Melvin Rodgers and moved to MS), Polly A. Chism, Samuel Fielder Chism, Emma Jane Chism (who married Thomas Sutherland) and Louisa Chism (married H.F. Ulrich). The last daughte r, Louisa, and her husband hosted the funeral of William's wife in their home in Richmond TX in 1905. We know Frances is buried in the Richmond Cemetery. Can't find anything about William after 1870 Clark County, KY census. Any info or leads would be he lpful
